Day Two Of Super Bowl Ticket Trial In Dallas

Dallas (CBSDFW.COM) - It's day two of testimony in a court battle over Super Bowl XLV tickets. This morning those in the courtroom heard from a former NFL executive. He was talking seats. Going over how many were required and how many weren't ready during the 2011 Super Bowl at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington. Seven fans are suing and say the NFL committed fraud against them by selling them seats that either did not exist or had obstructed views.
This morning the former NFL executive told jurors that the host committee first promised 80,000 seats could be sold then increased it to more than 93,000. He said the host committee chair Roger Staubach signed off on it, but temporary seating which was added was not completed in time. The former executive also says 1,200 seats couldn't be used.
Both commissioner Roger Goodell and Cowboys' owner Jerry Jones are expected to testify. If Goodell is unable to make it to court lawyers will use his video deposition.
