Dallas Teen Killed In Fatal Car Crash

DUNCANVILLE (CBSDFW.COM) - A Dallas teen is dead after he was hit by an intoxicated red light runner.

According to Dallas Police the accident happened just after 1:00 a.m Saturday, in the 1400 block of Clark Rd in Duncanville.

The driver of a Nissan GTR ran a red light, hitting a Mercedes at the Camp Wisdom and Clark Rd intersection, then knocked down a utility pole and crashed into a doughnut shop.

The driver of the Mercedes was 16-year-old Taurean Babcock of Dallas.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Babcock's passenger was taken to a Dallas hospital.

The suspect and his three passengers were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening  injuries.

The driver of the Nissan was charged with intoxication manslaughter.
