Dallas Stars Debut New Logo & Uniform
DALLAS (105.3 THE FAN) - In an event usually reserved for the debut of a new sedan or truck, the Dallas Stars showed off their new look and logo to the public with plenty of video fast-cuts and flashing lights at the AT&T Performing Arts Center on Tuesday.
Former Stars Mike Modano and Jamie Benn walked out on the stage after the video finished dressed in two versions of the new team sweater.
The logo features a "D" over a slight alteration of the familiar star that was part of the logo when the Minnesota North Stars moved south in 1993. The words "Dallas Stars" are in a circle around the logo on the jersey's sleeve.
The color gold is gone, replaced by silver in the new look.
The Stars also announced they will retire the No. 9 of franchise icon Mike Modano during a home game on March 8.
