Dallas Police Locate Kidnapped Woman
DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Police in both Dallas and Grand Prairie have confirmed that a woman who was kidnapped at gunpoint early Tuesday morning has been located.
The original incident happened at about 2:00 a.m. as the victim and a friend were leaving a club and walking to their vehicle in a parking area along Loop 12. Before they could reach their SUV, a Hispanic man walked up to them with a gun. He forced the women into the SUV and drove around the city demanding money.
After about an hour, the suspect stopped the vehicle in the 1300 block of South Pacific Avenue, in east Dallas, and forced out the friend. The suspect drove away with the victim still inside the SUV.
Police confirmed on Wednesday morning that the victim had been found and possible suspects were being interviewed. According to authorities, the victim called 911 saying that she had been held captive, but was able to escape. She was picked up by police officers at an undisclosed location in the 1700 block of Main Street in Grand Prairie.
Three arrests have been made in the relation to the case -- two men and one woman.
