DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Dallas Police have arrested one of the suspects who allegedly beat and robbed Sarah Hoff in a downtown parking garage on January 21.
On Saturday afternoon, police say someone flagged down a DART police officer at the West End DART Rail Station.
That citizen pointed out a man and told officers that he was one of the people who robbed and beat Sarah Hoff.
The officers tried to go talk to the man but he ran off.
DART officers ran after him and Dallas Police Mounted Patrol officers joined the chase. When the suspect saw he was being chased by police on horses, he surrendered.
Ira Booker, who turned 17 a few weeks ago, was arrested for evading arrest and taken to Dallas Police headquarters where he was interviewed by robbery detectives.
Police say Booker admitted to his involvement in the robbery of Sarah Hoff. He is in the Dallas County Jail, charged with evading arrest and robbery.
Detectives continue to work to identify the second suspect who was shown in surveillance video earlier this week.
