Dallas Police Look For Suspects In S. Polk Street Shooting
DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Dallas police are looking for a shooting suspect who killed a man on the 3200 block of S Polk St. around 1:50 a.m. Sunday.
DPD officers were dispatched to the Landmark Apartments at 1:48 a.m., where 52-year-old Donnie Armstrong of Dallas was found with a gunshot wound to the torso.
Armstrong was soon transported to Methodist Hospital by Dallas Fire-Rescue, where he was pronounced dead.
Officers learned that before finding Armstrong, an active-shooter call went out from a 7-Eleven convenience store less than a mile away from the apartments.
Witnesses at the store said they saw Armstrong become involved in an verbal argument with two Latino males over "property taken from a vehicle," according to the police report.
Armstrong was then seen being chased by one of the gun-wielding suspects to the apartments where the shooting took place.
At this time, Dallas police are still looking for the two suspects.
