Morning Oak Cliff Home Invasion After 3 Other Robberies This Week
DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Police are investigating another home invasion in the Oak Cliff area of Dallas -- the 4th such robbery to happen since Tuesday.
According to Dallas police, the latest home invasion was reported around 4:30 a.m. in the 3300 block of Idaho Avenue, just south of Kiest Boulevard. The house isn't far from where the other three crimes occurred.
The family who lives at the house admits forgetting to lock the security door on the front of the house. With the iron bars unlocked, the robbers kicked in the front door of the house.
The two suspects terrorized the family for nearly half an hour, at one point holding a teen at gunpoint and pointing a gun at her father.
The thieves stole wallets, cell phones and a 60 inch television, but no one was physically hurt.
The family says the suspects spoke Spanish during the robbery and they believe the criminals are Hispanic.
The first suspect is described as a Latin male, between 20 and 25 years old. The man stood about 5'9", weighed 150 pounds, had a this mustache and tattoos on his face, neck and leg. The second suspect is also a Latin male between 20 and 25 years old. But this man is a bit taller, about 5'10" and is heavy-set, weighing around 230 pounds.
Police are paying special attention to the descriptions of the robbers, especially since a suspect in another home invasion also had a neck tattoo.
The suspects fled the scene on Idaho in an older model red sedan, possibly a Honda.
