Dallas Officer Involved In Early Morning Wreck

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – A Dallas police officer was injured in a Saturday morning crash after losing control in a squad car while driving on ice.
The officer struck another vehicle and was taken to a Dallas hospital.
He was treated for his injuries and released.
The officer, who has not been identified, was driving westbound on Royal Lane approaching Audelia Road.
The officer began to decelerate as he approached a red light, but before the vehicle stopped, the light turned green.
The driver of the vehicle that was struck was treated at the scene.
