Dallas Midfielder Ferreira Wins MLS MVP

Toronto, ON (Sports Network) - FC Dallas midfielder David Ferreira was voted Major League Soccer's 2010 Most Valuable Player.

The Colombian scored eight goals and 13 assists in 2010, his second season in MLS, to help lead his club to the playoffs.

Ferreira has a goal and three assists in the playoffs as his team prepares for the MLS Cup final on Sunday in Toronto.

Los Angeles attackers Edson Buddle and Landon Donovan finished second and fourth, respectively, in MVP voting, with San Jose's Chris Wondolowski, the league's leading goal scorer this season, finishing third.
