Dallas May Cut 500 People To Fix Budget

There are fresh indications the cuts will be deep as the City of Dallas works to balance its budget. City manager Mary Suhm reportedly plans to cut 500 positions from the city payroll; many of them, part-time workers at the city's libraries and parks departments. The city manager also plans to implement eight furlough days for workers and cut employee pay by roughly two percent.
