Dallas Man Accused Of Beating Family Members
DALLAS (AP) - A Dallas man police say was angry at having his adult stepdaughter spurn his brother's affections is jailed after he was accused of beating the woman, her 5-year-old son and another man with a golf club.
Alejandro Vazquez is in Dallas County jail facing a list of charges, ranging from aggravated assault and injury to a child to being an illegal immigrant. Bonds totaling more than $150,000 have been set. No attorney is listed for him on jail records.
Police records reviewed by The Dallas Morning News show Vazquez's brother also is sought in the attack, which left the woman with "extensive" and "disfiguring" injuries. The records also show the boy was left in severe pain and "bleeding profusely" from his mouth. The other man had a lacerated arm.
