DALLAS (CBS 11 NEWS) - More than 100 Dallas homeowners filed a lawsuit against the builders of the LBJ Express Tollway project, claiming their homes have been severely damaged by the construction.
This is the second lawsuit filed this month by homeowners against Trinity Infrastructure, LLC, the contractor for the project.
"My home has been destroyed," said Jimmy Bumper, whose home backs to I-635 near Marsh Lane.
The latest group of 110 homeowners is seeking more than $10 million in damages, according the homeowners' attorney.
The homeowners' attorney said many of the homes have more than $100,000 in foundation damage.
A spokesperson with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) said Trinity Infrastructure could not comment on pending litigation.
The contractor has paid for foundation inspections for the homeowners who are suing but, according to the homeowners, has not made any offers to fix the damage.
"We've waited long enough," said Bumper. "It's time for them to come out and make an offer to repair our homes. It's time."
