Dallas Food Trucks Might Expand Menus
DALLAS (CBS 11 NEWS) - Dallas city officials are considering expanding the menus of mobile catering trucks called "hot trucks."
Currently food trucks can't handle or cook poultry or fish due to health concerns in the field.
But some city council members want to loosen that rule as long as the items are pre-cooked and essentially heated in the field--similar to how food trucks are regulated in New York City.
The full council will take up the issue next month.
