DALLAS (105.3 THE FAN) - Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones didn't offer much to explain Dez Bryant's outburst to the media at Valley Ranch on Thursday.

On his weekly radio show on 105.3 The Fan, Jones agreed that tensions among players were high in the locker room because of the recent streak of losses - and some thing may have boiled over. "We wouldn't be nearly as critiqued, in a negative way, as we are because we are losing." said Jones.

As for handling Dez and what may have caused the outburst, "I have a lot of experience with Dez, I have a tolerance for how he expresses himself." said Jones -  but since he was not there during the mini-meltdown he wouldn't speculate on what set Dez off saying, "I don't know the context of how he was expressing himself - but it sounds like he got a good airing out."

Bryant allegedly was not happy with an article from an ESPN.com writer, in which the reporter said the Cowboys need more from Bryant than a profanity-laced tirade. Bryant later tweeted:"Yea I blew up on the media but report why I blew up on ya'll … .saying i don't give a f***** about me and calling players n***** is not professional."

"Dez didn't handle that situation the right way." said coach Jason Garrett at the Cowboys daily press conference at Valley Ranch.

Despite having to maintain the cool, calm appearance, Jones let it know that losses affect him too. "That guy in the mirror, i'm really irritate with him a lot." said Jones (referring to himself) "I say how, and what, can we do - to do better than this."
