Dallas Cowboys Bus Involved In Fatal Crash In Arizona

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Four people were killed after the van they were riding in collided with a Dallas Cowboys bus just outside of Las Vegas, CBS 11 learned.
The bus was on its way to Cowboys' training camp in Oxnard, Calif. when the Dodge van apparently tried to cross U.S. 93 in Kingman, Ariz. when it struck the bus, sending both vehicles off the road.
Rescue units needed hours to cut open the top of the van to extract the four victims, who were later pronounced dead.
Four Cowboys' staff members on the bus say they are incredibly shaken up, but OK. A car service picked them up and took them to Las Vegas as the investigation into the accident continued.
There was no word on the identities of those killed in the crash.
Cowboys.com contributor Mickey Spagnola, one of the employees on the bus told CBS 11 via text message: "The four of us are fine." The team's mascot, a videographer, and the bus driver were the other three people on the bus. One of the team staff members credited the bus driver, Emory Tyler, with saving their lives.
The bus had been scheduled to make a stop in Las Vegas on Sunday.
The team is aware of the accident, but have not released a comment. Training camp is set to begin for the team on Thursday.
