Dallas County Voters Pleased To Bring Their Voices To Election Process

DALLAS COUNTY (CBS11) - Polling places across Dallas County stayed busy with people punching in their preference for president and more.
One thing voters seemed unanimous on was the importance of exercising their right and bringing their voice to the process.
"I think its important for all citizens to vote, our duty to do that," said Dallas voter Laura Frazure.
"I take it upon myself to vote today, because its an important facet of the United States," said another voter.
Having a chance to vote, I think for us as young people, its important to exercise that right to vote," said Dallas voter Ebony Sayles.
In Lewisville, electronic failures affected voting in one precinct. Even paper ballots couldn't be tabulated for a while. Lines stretched into about an hour-long wait. Some voters left.
"I have seen four people walk off, just didn't vote," said election judge Jack Ablon.
Elsewhere, the top of the ticket, Trump or Clinton, topped the political interest level for voters and change seemed to be in the air for some.
"I changed from Democrat to Republican because I like who's running for Republican. I think he can help us," said Gloria Trevino of Dallas.
"I voted for Hillary," said James Steinheiser of Dallas. "I'm a Republican who's gonna vote Democrat. I hate to use the same line, but he doesn't have the temperament."
