Dallas County Reports 9th West Nile Death
DUNCANVILLE (CBSDFW.COM) - A ninth person in Dallas County has died from complications from the West Nile Virus.
Wednesday afternoon Dallas County Health and Human Services sent a press release announcing the ninth death, a resident of Duncanville.
The department did not release the person's identity or age.
With each death, the DCHHS reminds people to be aware of precautions they should take to prevent West Nile Virus.
According to the department, the best way to avoid exposure to West Nile Virus is to practice the four Ds:
--use Insect repellents that contain DEET
--Drain any standing water
--Dress in long, loose and light-colored clothing and
--take extra care to use repellent and protective clothing from Dusk to Dawn.
