Dallas County Makes Large Coke Bust
DALLAS (AP) - Dallas County sheriff's deputies say they have made one of the largest cocaine busts in recent years after pulling over a driver for an unsafe lane change.
A press release says that, during the stop in north Dallas on Friday, a deputy saw the driver acting suspiciously and noticed several large trash bags in the back seat.
The deputy called for a search dog, which alerted to the presence of cocaine.
Authorities recovered 511 pounds of cocaine with an estimated street value of $5.8 million. The driver was taken into custody and questioned by detectives.
