Dallas Building Evacuated For Suspicious Package
DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Police in Dallas evacuated a downtown office building on Thursday morning after a bomb-sniffing dog smelled something suspicious in the building's basement.
Workers at One Main Place, located in the 1200 block of Main Street, started evacuating the building shortly before 10:00 a.m. Thursday morning. Companies inside of the building include CNN, Bank of America, FOX News and several technology-related businesses.
Police also blocked off streets in the area, before the Dallas Police Department's bomb squad arrived on the scene.
Phyllis Smith with KRLD was later told that the bomb-sniffing dog detected a box of files that did not appear to be dangerous. The scene was cleared shortly after 11:00 a.m. Thursday.
