Dak Remains Focused Despite Cowboys 'Noise'

FRISCO (105.3 THE FAN) - Some in Cowboys Nation remain obsessed with the "outside noise" that includes a season-long discussion pitting veteran QB Tony Romo against rookie starter Dak Prescott.
Sunday's 10-7 loss at the Giants has amplified the noise, causing coach Jason Garrett to announce forcefully, "You can make it as simple or complex as you wanna make, but it it's pretty simple for us: Dak's gonna play QB as we go forward."
Fortunately for 11-2 Dallas, the one person most impervious to the chatter is the same person Who stands to be most affected by it.
"The 'noise' didn't just start," Prescott said on Wednesday as his team turned its attention to this Sunday night to visit from the Buccaneers. "It's the Dallas Cowboys; there's been 'noise' since the time I've been drafted."
Prescott conceded that last Sunday night "Just wasn't my best game." But Garrett noted that Dak's bounce-back mindset is a character strength. And in Prescott's own quiet way, he said the same thing about the entire team.
Everybody in this locker room doesn't pay attention to (the noise)," he said to the media. "Y'all get paid to do that - we don't."
