Cuban Thawing Out Over Mavs' Loss Of DeAndre

DALLAS (105.3 THE FAN) - Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban has melted the ice in his initially "frigid'' dealings with the Clippers and their "Hail Mary'' to intercept DeAndre Jordan's commitment to Dallas.
"I had a nice conversation with Steve Ballmer, owner of the Cippers yesterday during our NBA meetings,'' Cuban writes via CyberDust on Wednesday morning. "It started off more than a little frigid, but we both cleared the air on a few things.''
The conflict, of course, regards Jordan, the free-agent center who reneged on his verbal agreement to come to Dallas to instead return to the Clippers. The dealings violate an unwritten rule in the NBA, but ...
"I told him exactly what I told other owners, I didn't have a problem with his Hail Mary approach to keeping a player,'' Cuban writes. I understood why they did it. And even how they did it. They got their player back. End of story.''
Actually, there is another chapter to the story and Cuban thinks it'll come to begin the 2015-16 season.
"The thing about the NBA is that you don't know which deals are the good deals and which arrows you avoided till you start playing the games,'' writes Cuban, adding, "My guess is that we open the season against the Clippers. That's when the real fun will begin.''
