Crews Look For Missing Boater At Lake Lavon

PRINCETON (CBSDFW.COM) - The search resumed on Monday morning for a missing boater at Lake Lavon. The Collin County Sheriff's Department confirmed that they are looking for the body of Jajuan Dawson from Murphy. Dawson's mother confirms he is a former NFL player from the Houston Texans.
The 37-year-old man rented a boat from a place in Collin County and was on the water with his wife, three kids and an adult relative. Dawson dove into the water without a lifejacket, but never resurfaced.
It is not entirely clear what happened to Dawson when he jumped into the lake. Authorities do not suspect that alcohol played a factor in his disappearance.
Texas Parks & Wildlife and a local volunteer fire department have joined the Collin County Sheriff's Department in the search near Clear Lake Park.
