Police Officers Injured At 3-Alarm Fire Released From Hospital

ARLINGTON (CBSDFW.COM) – The two police officers taken to the hospital after suffering smoke inhalation during a 3-alarm fire Tuesday afternoon in Arlington, have been released from the hospital.
The officers, one male and one female, were working to clear people from the section of the apartment complex that was on fire when they suddenly needed medical attention.
First-responders with the Arlington Fire Department, and other assisting agencies, worked to put out the fire at the Woodland Park Apartments, in the 2000 block of Valleywood Drive.
At the height of the fire there were two separate ambulances called to transport two injured people. Sources tell CBS 11 News those two individuals are officers with the Arlington Police Department.
One firefighter was treated at the scene for exhaustion.
Four units in the 16-unit building suffered significant damage.
The Red Cross is assisting about a dozen people who suffered major losses of their possessions.
