Cowboys WR Bryant Injures Right Knee
SAN DIEGO (AP) - Dallas Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant will be treated for tendinitis in his right knee after an MRI revealed no tear to a ligament or tendon.
Bryant injured his knee during a joint practice Monday with the San Diego Chargers.
The Cowboys say Bryant will be evaluated on a day-to-day basis. No timetable has been set for his return to practice.
Receiver Andre Holmes has a low back strain.
The Cowboys were already without their leading receiver, Miles Austin, who sat out both of the team's preseason games with a hamstring injury. The two-time Pro Bowler isn't expected to practice this week.
Bryant caught two passes for 15 yards on Saturday in the Cowboys' 28-20 loss to the Chargers. Coach Jason Garrett says Bryant has been having an "outstanding" training camp.
