Cowboys Working To Restructure Romo's Contract
DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) -- The Dallas Cowboys are working to restructure the contract of Tony Romo, sources tell 105.3 The Fan.
The team can free up to $12.8 million, according to Mike Fisher.
While many have speculated that the move frees the Cowboys to pursue Adrian Peterson via trade, Fisher lays out why he believes the Cowboys are using the contract trigger.

Hardy signed a one-year deal this offseason that is likely to earn him a total of $13.1 million. The bulk of the contract is in bonuses, which could allow Dallas to defer some of the cap hit to 2016.
The team also agreed to a one-year deal with linebacker Rolando McClain, with a base value of $3 million, and another $1 million in play-time incentives.
