Cowboys Winning Ways Unchanged; What About QB Ways?

CLEVELAND (105.3 The Fan) - The Cowboys' seven-week-long status as winners is unchanged. Dallas' management's view of the return of Tony Romo? That seems to be changing with every advancement being made by rookie QB Dak Prescott.
"Unlike last week, I wouldn't speculate," Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said Sunday following his team's 35-10 drubbing of the Browns. "I don't know. But (Romo) will do more (this week in practice). And he's really doing things that are strong relative to last year's strength. He's ahead of last year."
A week ago, after Dallas beat Philly, Jones immediately announced that Prescott would retain the No. 1 job for another week. As Romo fights back from his Aug. 25 back injury to get back on the field, the Cowboys seem willing to "play the hot hand.''
But what ever Dallas does, ownership isn't troubled by the situation. Rather, they are elated.
"We've got a great luxury, a wonderful problem to have,'' Jones said while dancing around the question of Romo's availability for this week's game at Pittsburgh. "My real regret would be to have had (Romo) here and not won a Super Bowl with him. He's that talented.''
Oddly, Dallas has one of its best shots at that level of contention its had in years, and while Romo is a part of it … he's not presently central to it.
"I know,'' CEO Stephen Jones said, Romo is "ready to go hard to work next week."
