Cowboys Wilcox Admits He 'Let On The Ease' In Second Half

ARLINGTON (105.3 THE FAN) -- The Cowboys held a comfortable 23-point lead at halftime against a backup quarterback and an offense that struggled to move the ball. Then came the second half.

After limiting Matt Flynn and the Packers offense to just three first-half points, the Cowboys defense surrendered 34 points, including touchdowns on five consecutive possessions to start the second half.

How could a team be so dominant in the first half and so incompetent in the second?

J.J. Wilcox

"I could have did some stuff to help my team out and make some plays," said safety J.J. Wilcox after the game. "I kind of let on the ease a little bit. I learned from it as a rookie. I'm going to step up and make some more plays."

Yes, the Cowboys defense surrendered 309 second-half yards. "Let on the ease..." What exactly does that mean?

Did the intensity level of the entire team fall off in the second half?

"I can't say for everybody else. For myself, I know that I have to go out there and keep my intensity up myself."
