Cowboys Training Camp Under Way
SAN ANTONIO (AP) Tony Romo, Dez Bryant and the Dallas Cowboys have started training camp.
An airhorn sounded at 10:30 a.m. Thursday and players who'd been loosening up immediately went to their first drills at the Alamodome in San Antonio-- extra-point kicks on one end of the field, kick blocking on the other and guys not doing special teams continuing their warm-ups on the side.
There were about 65 players and everyone moved quickly, going from drill to drill. Coach Jason Garrett demands a quick tempo, and that's especially important to get as much done as possible following a four-month lockout.
Romo and Bryant are returning from injuries that cut short their 2010 season. New defensive coordinator Rob Ryan also was in action for the first time.
