Cowboys Tickets 42% Below Average For Monday Night Game Vs. Redskins
The Dallas Cowboys are in the midst of one of their most impressive stretches of play in at least the past five years. Even when Dallas went 11-5 in 2009, there was not a run of games bringing as impressive results as the past six games the Cowboys have played. Dallas will look to continue that streak as they host the Washington Redskins on Monday Night Football. Even as the Cowboys are playing like one of the top teams in football, Monday night’s game will be the least expensive Cowboys tickets of the season on the secondary market.
According to Barrys Tickets, the average price for Cowboys vs Redskins tickets is currently $150.59 with a get-in price of $26. The average price for the game is 42% below the season average for home games on the Dallas Cowboys schedule this year.
No other game at AT&T Stadium this season has an average price below $200. The next least expensive game of the season will next week against Arizona as Cowboys vs Cardinals tickets have an average price of $236.08. Even that game is 58% more expensive than the average price of the Washington game.
It’s not too surprising that the demand to see Washington is not as high as the season’s norm. After Kirk Cousins continued to turn the ball over, the Redskins turned to Colt McCoy as their quarterback in the second half of last week’s game against the Tennessee Titans.
McCoy will be the starter heading into Monday night as Robert Griffin III will still not be healthy enough to return to the field. While McCoy coming back to Texas is a homecoming of sorts, he has not inspired as much excitement during his time in the NFL.
Dallas won both meetings against Washington last season. This year, Washington’s secondary has not been great, which is something Tony Romo and Dez Bryant could expose.
A low secondary market average could just mean Cowboys fans could be saving up for the final three home games at AT&T Stadium. After the Cardinals come in for a visit during Week 9, the next home game will be Thanksgiving Day in Week 13 against the Philadelphia Eagles after away games in Jacksonville and New York with a bye in between. Unsurprisingly, the average price for Cowboys vs Eagles tickets will be the most expensive of the season.
The average price is currently $366.66, 41% above the season average.
The season finale at AT&T Stadium will be the next most expensive with an average price of $294.85 for Week 16 against the Indianapolis Colts. Cowboys vs Colts tickets are currently 13% above the season average. The Colts are playing like one of the best teams in the league and both teams could be playing for a top seed in their respective conference during the game.
