Cowboys 'Smell Roses' (And Cologne)

DALLAS, Texas (105.3 THE FAN) - Jerry Jones believes it's OK for his 5-1 Cowboys to appreciate their early success.
"I know we can't dwell on it,'' the Cowboys owner tells 105.3 The Fan's "Shan & RJ,'' but we should smell the roses here just a little bit.''
Unfortunately, the Cowboys also spent the early part of this week "stopping to smell the cologne'' - and allegedly stealing a tester bottle of "Gucci Guilty Black'' along with some Polo underwear from a Dillards department store in Frisco on Monday night, with running back Joseph Randle the accused perp of the misdemeanor crime.
The Cowboys will comment on Randle's status later today as they put their monumental 30-23 win in Seattle behind them and begin preparation for Sunday's visit from the Giants. The team was certainly giddy as it left Seattle and Jones had another recent to celebrate as Monday was his birthday.
The idea now is to built on those giddy feelings ... and to experience more of them.
"I think this team is pretty realistic about where we need to be better and what can happen to us if we aren't balanced," Jones said. "We know that offense is helping our defense, keeping them off the field. We know the defense has come in and made some key stops. We know that if you don't make those key stops, what can happen to you."
What can happen to you is, you can get caught. Which is why you smell the scents ... but you don't steal them.
