Cowboys Return From Bye With Secondary Intact

IRVING (AP)  The Dallas Cowboys returned from their bye looking like a new team. Well, at least like the team they expected to be.

The key members of their secondary were healthy and on the field together Monday for the first time since early August. The offense was nearly back to full strength, too, with receivers Miles Austin and Dez Bryant both running routes for Tony Romo for the first time since the opening week.

The four-day layoff went as well as the Cowboys (2-2) could have hoped. In addition to the rest, the two division foes who played Sunday - Philadelphia and New York - both lost.

Dallas is hoping to build momentum headed into Sunday's game at New England, where the Patriots have won 19 straight regular-season games.
