IRVING (105.3 THE FAN) - Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo reiterated this weekend that he's been throwing the football and now plans to be a full participant in the team's offseason program, which begins at Valley Ranch today.
"I can throw fully," Romo said at an "All-Pro Dad'' event at AT&T Stadium. "I've been throwing fully here for a good week-and-a-half, two weeks. It's been good."
105.3 The Fan reported a similar status a week ago after gathering Romo comments about his progress following March 8 surgery on his collarbone. Doctors said the rehab might take eight weeks; Romo's privately-held position is that it might take six weeks.
"It's been going great here for the last two, three weeks -- just getting them going and being able to go full speed and all that stuff. It's been great," Romo said. "A lot of guys just wanted to get in and get after it. I think that's a great sign. I'm all for seeing all of the guys in there every day.''
Roma's workouts have included a partnership with Dez Bryant, who is rehabbing from a second surgery to his right foot.
"It's part of the offseason,'' Romo said,"and you're always getting better."
