Where Do Cowboys Stand For First Preseason Home Game?

DALLAS (105.3 THE FAN) - As the Cowboys prepare for the first preseason home game of the 2012 season the team's owner/general manager Jerry Jones talks with The Fan about getting his team ready for their first preview.

Jerry told Elf & Slater that he is going to be keeping an eye on the many free agent players up-front and comments on if he thinks Mike Jenkins will be ready for the season opener against the Giants.

Jerry also talked about Dez Bryant reaching out to Jay Novacek to be a guiding figure in his life. "Jay has great people skills and he was my father's favorite player."

Jerry also talked about the latest updates on what is happening with Jason Witten and the injury that has kept him on the sidelines since the first preseason game against the Oakland Raiders.
