Cowboys OL Leary Pleads Guilty To Drunk Driving Charge
IRVING (CBSDFW.COM) -- Dallas Cowboys offensive lineman Ronald Leary now admits he was driving drunk in September of 2012 when he was pulled over in Irving.
Leary pleaded guilty to a drunk driving charge last Thursday and will serve 18-months probation.
According to the police report, Leary was driving erratically and committing multiple traffic violations when stopped near Riverside and O'Connor. The arresting officer claimed Leary had bloodshot eyes, slurred his speech and smelled of alcohol.
He subsequently failed a field sobriety test. He was asked to give a blood sample, which he willingly gave.
"In the state of Texas, unless you are double the alcohol level in your blood system or you have caused an injury, or you had a child in your car, your first two offenses being convicted of -- they are not felony offenses, they are misdemeanors," said MADD's North Texas executive director Jeff Miracle.

Leary could now face discipline and a possible suspension under the NFL's player conduct policy.
