Cowboys' Jenkins, Newman Leave Game With Injuries
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) - Dallas Cowboys cornerbacks Terence Newman and Michael Jenkins have left Sunday's game against the New York Giants with injuries.
Newman was hurt with about six minutes remaining in the first quarter. He limped to the sideline, then walked to the locker room with a left ankle problem.
The Cowboys said he was questionable to return.
Jenkins was being evaluated for a neck injury sustained in the second quarter. He stayed on the ground for several minutes before slowly walking off. Moments later, backup cornerback Bryan McCann went 101 yards with an interception for a touchdown, the longest in Cowboys history.
Giants guard Kevin Boothe, fresh off the physically unable to perform list and making his first start of the season, left in the opening quarter for X-rays on his knee. Boothe returned in the second quarter.
