Cowboys Friday: Accurate Romo + The Tower Of London

LONDON (CBSDFW.COM) -- The Cowboys' Friday in London began with QB Tony Romo working against air with a high level of accuracy -- 15-of-18 passing -- and will later be filled with the team's single day of group sightseeing.
"We're going to the Tower of London and we'll see The Crown Jewels,'' coach Jason Garrett said. "A good team thing.''
Garrett tells me he's instituted a curfew all week, but it's a pretty forgiving one.
"We get done with our work at 5:15 p.m. every day and then curfew is at midnight, so the guys have some time on their own,'' the coach said.
But today marks a time to seal things up -- gameplan-wise and bonding-wise, too.
That starts with the availability of Romo, working through the two fractures in his back.
"He looked pretty comfortable to me," Garrett said. "Clearly he's coming back off of this thing and wanted to get the blood flowing through his body and get his movement back both in the pocket and also throwing the football. I feel like he had a pretty good day (Thursday).''
And I'm telling you he had another on Friday.
The Cowboys are now at the point where they expect Romo to start Sunday against the Jaguars at Wembley Stadium.
There is less certainty about middle linebacker Rolando McClain (knee), who did not practice for a third straight day. Defensive tackle Tyrone Crawford (knee) looks unlikely to go as he was only able to watch practice. The rest of the Cowboys seem healthy enough as they acclimate themselves to the time change, the culture change and the weather change -- led by Dez Bryant, who practiced without sleeves despite the inclement weather on Friday.
That's Dez trying a mind-over-matter approach that will probably be required of the QB, too. Romo said he didn't need medication to deal with pain on Thursday. That could change on Sunday.
"I guarantee you,'' Romo said of teammates dealing with assorted physical issues, "they're playing through stuff, too, just like everybody at this point in the season. You've just got to go out and get your best foot forward and go commit to it."
