FRISCO (CBSDFW.COM) - Some high school football players are getting a taste of what it's like to be a Dallas Cowboy. All eight Frisco ISD teams faced off Saturday in a quadruple header to kick off the season at the Cowboys new Ford Center.

Outside fans couldn't get enough selfies posing in front of Frisco's newest landmark. Thousands poured into the Ford Center at The Star to watch the first high school games ever to be played here.

"It's amazing. When I played high school football... I grew up in Texas... I would never dream to play in a facility like this. It's absolutely amazing," Lawrence Lewis said.

Lewis watched his son's Reedy team play its first ever varsity game as it squared off against Independence, and Frisco's two newest varsity programs opened the quadruple header.

Grady Leser got to see his son play the first game of his senior year at The Star on the biggest stage he could imagine.

"It's unbelievable. It is such a great venue for high school football, and then you look at what it's tied to, the Dallas Cowboys. We've had professional players coming out. Jerry Jones is on his way. I mean unbelievable for these high school kids," Leser said.

Cowboys players like running back Alfred Morris couldn't resist taking a peak at all the action. Fans at field level got to visit with him, and Morris even let fans in the stands toss down their phones for him to snap selfies with them.

"I grew up a Dallas Cowboys fan. I love the Cowboys, but I would have never imagined that they would have created a partnership like this. I think it's important, and I think it builds a relationship with the youth here in the community," Lewis said.

For anyone who missed the sold out opening games, tickets are available for the next game at the Ford Center on Friday when Lone Star takes on Timberview.
