ARLINGTON (CBSDFW.COM) - The countdown to kickoff is on, as the Dallas Cowboys head to Lambeau Field for their first playoff trip to Green Bay since the famed 'Ice Bowl' back in December 1967. Sunday afternoon's match could be another one for the ages.
Winters in Wisconsin can be brutal. The Cowboys are preparing for temperatures in the teens when they take the field on Sunday, and that does not even factor in the wind chill. But the game is a must-win. Only two teams stand between Dallas and the Super Bowl, and fans are gearing up.
There is already an 'Ice Bowl II' shirt on store shelves. Excited fans have been hitting up the Dallas Cowboys Pro Shop on Monday morning to grab new the shirts and hats.
But do not expect to find tickets to the playoff game. The Cowboys might offer a small handful of limited package deals, but getting to the matchup could prove difficult -- and expensive -- for Dallas fans.
There are a few tickets being sold online through StubHub, going for hundreds and even thousands of dollars.
Still, many Cowboys fans said that they were willing to pay up for a chance to be at the second 'Ice Bowl' match, though feeling very anxious about this week's upcoming game.
The nerves likely stem from the team's early performance during their win over the Lions. "I was a little nervous at the beginning, but those boys came out at halftime and they put in work, and Tony Romo did not fold ever. Tony Romo was great," said tailgater Jerald Gettery.
"Hope to be back here in two weeks," added fan Bob Sanders. Dallas would return to Arlington if the Carolina Panthers beat the Seattle Seahawks. Otherwise, the Cowboys head to Seattle, trying to win a trip to the Super Bowl in Phoenix.
