Cowboys Defensive Back Brandon Carr On The Meaning Of His Tattoos

VALLEY RANCH (CBSDFW) - Cowboys defensive back Brandon Carr has never missed an NFL game. For that, he says he's been blessed and has several tattoos that make him remember those blessings.  As he enters his 4th season with the Cowboys, he can only reflect on how hard the start of last season was.

Prior to training camp last year, Carr lost his mother and best friend.  One lasting memory is how his mom...a former teacher....had such an impact on young children.  Carr hopes one day to have the save impact.  His primary focus in improving youth, education, literacy, and fitness.

As Carr runs down the meaning behind all of his tattoos, he says every future tattoo will always represent something or someone special in his life.

Carr says the biggest lesson he learned from his mother's death, is never to take life for granted and enjoy every moment, because you never know when it's going to be your last.
