DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM/AP) - Cowboys defensive end Randy Gregory has been suspended without pay for an additional 10 games by the NFL for "violating the NFL Policy and Program for Substances of abuse."

Gregory is currently serving a four-game suspension and now won't be able to be back on the roster until December 19 after the team's December 18 game against Tampa Bay.

Gregory withdrew his appeal of the ten game suspension last week.

The 10-game suspension will begin immediately upon the conclusion of his four-game suspension for a total of 14 games., according to the NFL.

Gregory won't be eligible to play again until Week 16, for Dallas' Monday night game against Detroit on Dec. 26.

The second-year player from Nebraska slid to the Cowboys at the end of the second round in the 2015 draft after testing positive for marijuana at the NFL combine.

According to the labor agreement, four positive marijuana tests can lead to a 10-game suspension.

The 23-year-old Gregory rejoined the team this month after spending time in rehab.
