Cowboys Coach Garrett, Owner Jones Not Talking Desperately
IRVING (AP) - Coach Jason Garrett is talking about the good things that happened for the Dallas Cowboys. Owner Jerry Jones says they could evolve into a championship contender this season.
The coach and owner seem unfazed that Dallas (2-3) has lost three of its last four games, and needs to win Sunday at Carolina.
Garrett said Wednesday there are no moral victories, but there are a lot of positive things the team can build on after Sunday's 31-29 loss at Baltimore. They had 481 total yards, their most in two years, and matched a franchise record with 79 offensive plays.
During his weekly radio appearance on 105.3 The Fan, Jones said they "did things that we can win with in the future.'' He then he emphasized he means this year.
