Cowboys Carter Will Play With Broken Finger

IRVING, Texas (105.3 THE FAN) - Cowboys linebacker Bruce Carter suffered a broken left ring finger during Thursday's practice, requiring him to get an MRI and then make a visit to the doctor, when the finger was re-set. He'll make a return visit to the doctor's office on Friday to get fit for a split that will allow him to play Sunday against the visiting Cardinals.

"We'll just wrap it up and I should be fine," said Carter, an important part of a defense that has helped Dallas to its surprising 6-2 record.

Carter broke the finger during drills when it got caught awkwardly in the shoulder pads of a teammate.

The Cowboys are juggling at linebacker this week with Justin Durant undergoing season-ending biceps surgery and Rolando McClain practicing through injury issues with his shoulder and groin. Kyle Wilber and possibly rookie Anthony Hitchens will also be in the mix on Sunday.
