Cowboys DT Antwaun Woods Arrested For Marijuana Possession, Tampering With Evidence In Frisco
FRISCO, Texas (CBSDFW.COM) - Dallas Cowboys defensive tackle Antwaun Woods was arrested Tuesday for possession of marijuana during a traffic stop in Frisco, police said.
Woods was charged with possession of marijuana over two ounces but less than four, tampering with evidence, and he was also cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.
According to the police report, an officer pulled Woods over after he saw him driving 77 mph in a 60 mph zone along Highway 380. He was eventually pulled over in the 15500 block of Dallas Parkway.
Police said Woods tried to hide a marijuana cigarette by putting it in a water bottle. The officer also found "two glass mason jars full of marijuana, a small gold cylinder container full of marijuana, multiple pieces of drug paraphernalia."
Envelopes with pills were also found in his vehicle and police said they will be tested. Woods told the officer they were Vitamin D pills.
The defensive tackle had been ruled out of Thursday night's game against the Chicago Bears due to a knee injury.
Woods has played in eight out of 12 games this season with 15 total tackles.
