Couture Paces Sharks Past Stars 5-2

SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) -- All-Star Logan Couture scored a power-play goal to extend his point streak to five games and the San Jose Sharks won their third straight, beating the Dallas Stars 5-2 on Thursday night.

Michal Handzus, Joe Pavelski, Joe Thornton and Ryane Clowe also scored for the Sharks, who beat the Stars for the fifth straight time.

Steve Ott and Jamie Benn scored for the Stars, who have yet to win the second game of back-to-backs this season in nine chances.

Thomas Griess stopped 19 shots to earn his seventh win for the Sharks. Dallas' Richard Bachman made 32 saves.
