DENTON (CBS11) - Brandon Kelley says he and his family were victims of a road rage incident on Wednesday that began in Fort Worth and ended in Northlake in Denton County.

He says two pick up drivers tried to run him off the road repeatedly.

The incident was captured on his wife's cell phone camera and it shows the terrifying moments the family though they would be hit.
As frightening as that was Kelley says his real frustration is over why 9-1-1 dispatchers weren't able to send help.

He was told because they had crossed several jurisdictions the dispatchers didn't know how to send to help them.

Kelley said, "That's not a suitable explanation especially in a situation like this when people are in fear for their lives."

Eventually the family made it safely to a Northlake gas station where they were met by a police officer from that city.
9-1-1 recording obtained by CBS 11 from Denton county show the confusion that came about when the Denton County dispatcher tried to alert a Fort Worth dispatcher.

A short transcript of that conversation is as follows:

Denton Dispatch:"apparently this all occurred in Fort Worth so our Northlake officer is requesting that a Fort Worth officer be enroute."

Fort Worth Dispatch: "Yeah, they're going to have to come into Fort Worth. We can't send an officer into Northlake."

Fort Worth Dispatch: "If you could just have the officer tell her to just come into Fort Worth anywhere in Fort Worth then we can send an officer to her"

Denton Dispatch: "Okay, can I not give you her information and you guys can contact her and work out a location?"

Fort Worth Dispatch: :"I mean your officer is there on the scene with here, it would just be easier if…tell her she can call us."

Kelley says although he never got the help he needed he is thankful no one was hurt. When he heard the 9-1-1 call he said it was "completely unbelievable," and it proved how difficult it was for the family to get help.
