Couple Tries To Sell Baby At Wal-Mart for $25 Dollars

Couple in Salinas California try to sell baby at local Wal-Mart Salinas Police were dispatched to a local Wal-Mart, when a couple identified as  Alan Fousek (38) and Samantha Tomasini (20) tried to sell their 6 month old baby outside the discount store for $25 dollars.    They allegedly approached two women as they exited the store, and offered to sell their 8 month old daughter.   The women believed the couple to be joking around, but once they realized they were serious, they contacted police.

Fousek and Tomasini fled the scene, but the women's description of the couple and their car helped police later catch up to the couple and arrest them.  The couple faces child endangerment charges.  They are currently held in lockdown cells at the Monterey County Jail.  They were transferred to the lockdown area after several angry inmates attacked Fousek, after learning the reasons for Fousek's arrest.

The couple explained, once in custody with Salinas Police, that their plan was to sell the baby and have enough money to purchase crystal meth.
