Congressman Wants Abandoned Wells Taken Care Of
A north Texas Congressman it's time to take care of thousands of abandoned wells in the Gulf of Mexico. A report from the Associated Press says more than 27-thousand abandoned oil and gas wells may be leaking. Congressman Michael Burgess says he is a bit surprised at the number. The AP investigation uncovered particular concern with 3500 neglected wells. Burgess is on an Energy and Commerce subcommittee looking into gulf well issues.
