Congress Could Settle A Dozen Texas Lawsuits
AUSTIN (KRLD) - The Attorney General says Congress may hold the key to getting Texas and the EPA out of court.
The U.S. House of Representatives could consider a bill that could take back the power to control green house gasses from the EPA.
Attorney General Greg Abbott says that would have an effect on the state's court action against the EPA over that very issue. "We have now about a dozen lawsuits and all of these lawsuits can be resolved, settled and dismissed, if the United States Congress passes these laws."
Abbott says Congress and not the EPA should decide when and how and in what way green house gasses should be regulated.
