Company Headquarters Move Brings Jobs To N. Texas
FARMERS BRANCH (CBSDFW.COM) - A corporate move to North Texas could translate to an increased availability of high paying jobs.
CCS Medical is moving its corporate headquarters from Clearwater, Florida to Farmers Branch.
Dirk Allison, CEO of CCS Medical, said over the next two years the company will bring about 230 new jobs to North Texas, with an average salary of about $69,000 a year plus benefits.
"They're gonna mainly be executive managerial jobs and then there will be various corporate jobs," he explained.
By the beginning of next year, CCS will also open a warehouse in Coppell. Of the venture, Allison said, "The Texas business climate is very strong and that was one of the reasons that we decided to move into this area. And importantly we're bringing quality jobs, with very nice salaries, so we're excited to be able to do that for Texas."
The company has about 1,500 employees nationwide. "We are one of the largest diabetes and wound care mail-order companies in the Untied States."
Company exec's project the move will bring about $90 million to the state by 2013.
"Texas has a great business community. Not only is the climate very strong, from the business standpoint, but also there's a very strong workforce, so we're excited to be able to move up here," Allison said.
Currently CCS operates offices in seven U.S. states.
