Collin County Not Expecting Long Lines

PLANO (CBSDFW.COM) – It's estimated that only about 30 percent of the county's remaining registered voters are expected to show up at polling places tomorrow.
Collin County is working to streamline the voting experience. If there's a line, they have a unique way around it.
The county also allows voters to use any one of its polling sites and an online traffic alert will signal where turnout is lighter. A phone bank is staffed and ready to answer questions voters may have.
"The day before election is just getting ready for election mostly," says Collin County Voting Coordinator, Bruce Sherbet.
A McKinney polling site is one of 73 being set up in Collin County on the eve of Election Day. There's an empty room full of voting machines just waiting to be unlocked in just 10 hours.
A record 301,000 voters cast early ballots, that's 56 percent of the county's 536,000 registered voters. That's a sign Bruce Sherbet says that people waiting until Tuesday will not find long lines.
"We're not expecting lines tomorrow Collin County we don't expect waits with more than 20-25 minutes," comments Sherbet.
The county is confident that the voting machines will keep an accurate count and are impenetrable to hacking. "There are no Internet connections in or out of the equipment," says Sherbet.
